With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
I remember working in a government office when everyone was asked to leave. I believe this was in December 2019 and it was surreal.
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
My album "My Season" came out October 15 - while a full tour is not planned currently. I have been selected to perform at a festival in March 2022. I'll definitely be doing at least one song from the new record there. The show is being put on by Canyon Entertainment Group, so keep an eye out for more details HERE.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
Doing my best to not be overly hard on myself, focusing on launching a music app to promote independent artists called Collab Universe. The landing page is found HERE - I also work as a web developer for the federal government. I took a vacation this weekend which helped to destress.
How are dealing with the Covid fifth wave? Have things locked down again in your region? Have you had to cancel gigs, tours, etc.? Are things reopening & restrictions are lifting in your region? Have you booked any new gigs, tours, etc.? What are your plans for 2022?
Other than the March 5, 2022 show, there's nothing else that's been booked. I'm in Ontario so at the moment restrictions are less severe than they were a year ago (thankfully).
Favourite Starlite Room moment?
I like to keep an open mind, but I have to say it's mine (haha).
